Cliffs of Moher, County Clare

Cliffs of Moher, County Clare 2017-10-06T10:52:02+00:00

Urban dwellers in particular will be struck by the splendid isolation of the WAVE Centre’s location; amid a gorgeously still landscape of emerald green fields and stone ditches that is within close walking distance of the world-famous cliffs and their dramatic vantage point over the thrashing surf and ebb of the Atlantic Ocean.

This situation is incomparable. Patrons of The WAVE retreat will not only see why this part of Ireland attracts more than a million overseas visitors every year (and a great many Irish people too); they will also be struck by its profound sense of open space.

This Fitness and Wellness Retreat is suitable for everyone. Couples, singles, older and younger. You will be joining like-minded active people who are looking for something different.

We balance great outdoor activities, group fitness classes and delicious food in this luxury setting. We add then add in enough free space for people to either “chill or challenge” where they can avail of therapies or higher intensity outdoor adventures.

These aren’t just another retreat they are a journey in discovering a new land and a new you on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

How do I get to the Cliffs of Moher Retreat Centre in County Clare for the Wild Atlantic Vitality Experience? 2017-04-05T11:51:33+00:00

If flying to Ireland it is best to arrive at Shannon airport (SNN). We can arrange to pick you up from this airport only. You don’t have to fly to get a pick-up from this airport. We will coordinate transportation for you from the airport to the retreat center. This is an additional cost as not all guests will require transport. We often coordinate shared rides among guests landing around the same time, so that the transportation fee decreases per person. In the RESERVATIONS section you can insert your flights.

If driving the exact address is:

Cliffs of Moher Retreat, Moher Lodge, Kinielty, Liscannor, Co. Clare.

We are 7kms from Lahinch driving straight out on the road to the Cliffs of Moher. As you enter Lahinch follow the signs for the Cliffs of Moher and Liscannor (it’s a right turn before you come into the main street of the village).

Drive along that road, with the golf course on your left. After 4 kms you will reach Liscannor Village. Continue driving through Liscannor Village. After another 3kms turn left, just before The Rock Shop (which is on the right side of the road). After 200 metres you will reach a crossroads, turn right. Continue up the road for approximately 750metres (it’s a tiny road!), we are the third property on the left, you will drive up a long driveway and we will be waiting for you there.

Want to take a taxi?

If you wish you can catch a taxi from the airport directly to the Retreat for approximately €60 – €80. We recommend contacting Philip O’Dwyer, who offers competitive rates from Shannon to the Retreat compared to picking up a taxi at the airport. Phillip can accommodate individuals and groups. To pre-arrange transfers please contact Philip directly at:
